ABN AMRO is the proud winner of the Diamond Award from Talent to the Top for its efforts to get more women in top jobs at the bank. ABN AMRO has also joined a new Talent to the Top pilot project to promote greater cultural diversity at the most senior levels.

At ABN AMRO, we feel it is important that more women and people with a non-Western background find their way into the upper echelons of our company. By joining the Talent naar de Top (‘Talent to the Top’) drive, the bank demonstrates its commitment to making strides in the area of cultural diversity and thus promoting a key social and economic theme in the Netherlands. Progress will be monitored based on scientific research.

ABN AMRO was given the Diamond Award in recognition of the increase in the number of women at the top of our organisation, from 15.7% in 2010 to 25.2% by the end of 2017. The number of women on the Supervisory Board stood at 43% at the end of 2017, which was right on target. For the Executive Committee, the target has not yet been met, although it did improve from 14% in 2016 to 22% last year. ABN AMRO is aiming to have women in 30% of senior management positions by 2020.
