Windows XP no longer supported
After a period of more than 12 years, Microsoft will be discontinuing its maintenance support for Windows XP. If your computer uses Windows XP you will no longer receive automatic security updates from 8 April 2014. This could create a security risk to your personal data.
What are the implications for you?If your computer uses Windows XP you will no longer receive automatic security updates from 8 April 2014. Security updates are are vital for protecting against viruses, spyware and other malware. They help to protect users against various forms of internet fraud. Consequently, from 8 April, customers are exposing themselves to security risks whenever they use Windows XP, including when they use it in combination with Internet Banking or Access Online.
After 8 April, you will still be able to log in to Internet Banking or Access Online using Windows XP. But ABN AMRO will not be able to provide technical support or guarantee security. We are therefore advising anyone who is still using Windows XP to switch to another operating system.
