Sustainability Information of investments visible in ABN AMRO internet banking and via app
From today onwards, ABN AMRO’s investment clients can see sustainability information on their investments. This was already shown as part of the quarterly updates clients received, but is now also visible in internet banking and via app.
Vincent Triesschijn, head of ESG and Sustainable Investing at ABN AMRO: ‘Our clients want to have an insight into the sustainability information of their investments, in addition to an overview of the financial results. If a client wants to get in touch with us to discuss making their portfolio more sustainable, we will be happy to talk to them.
ESG risk score
Consumer clients in asset management and private banking clients using our advisory services can see how their investments score on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) risks. In the coming months, information will be added on the financed carbon emissions, the alignment with the Paris Climate Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. There will be an explanation of how the scores are calculated. ABN AMRO makes use of independent external sources for these calculations.
Outside the Netherlands
This service is already available for clients of ABN AMRO’s private bank in Germany, Bethmann Bank. Later this year, clients in France and Belgium will also be able to digitally access information on the impact of their investments.
