Everybody deserves to experience the power of sports

Through our partnerships, we aim to accelerate equal opportunities in sports, so that all sportsmen and women have the opportunity to get into the game,” says Sander Bestevaar, Head of Partnerships, Events and Foundations.

Equal opportunities on the pitch

Our sponsorship activities include a large number of sports in the Netherlands such as tennis, hockey and football. For example, we are the main sponsor of the ABN AMRO Open tennis tournament, the Euro Hockey League, and the Ajax women’s football team. We have also been a partner of Only Friends since its founding and we support the Ajax Only Friends disability football team. As a partner of the Esther Vergeer Foundation, ABN AMRO offers all children the opportunity to realise their ambitions in over forty disability sports.
