Being a customer at YouBeDo goes further than just buying a book

At ABN AMRO, we work together with our partners to achieve a positive impact in society. A good example of this is our partnership with YouBeDo. In the Remote Buddies program of ABN AMRO Foundation, we order books via YouBeDo that we read together with children who are behind in their reading at school. And if a colleague wants to learn something new, they can do so via the books of YouBeDo. The great thing about this collaboration is that by ordering books via YouBeDo, we also make an impact elsewhere. With every book we donate directly to a good cause. In the new year, there are again piles of books with impact waiting.
Circle of reciprocity at YouBeDo
YouBeDo has great ambitions to make an impact. That is why they started this year with Steward Ownership as a business model. With this business model they make their customers co-impact makers. YouBeDo's customers have influence and become part of the mission. This cooperative form creates a circle of reciprocity.

Books for the remote buddies of ABN AMRO
YouBeDo supplies the children's books for the Foundation project 'buddy at a distance'. Reading online together greatly enhances the children's reading pleasure. Schools arevery satisfied with the steps taken by the participating children. Many buddies (employees of the bank) finished their book after a few weeks of reading it together. YouBeDo saw this reflected in the orders last year. Because where in the previous edition about 500 books were ordered, this time there were no fewer than 698 books. Many buddies and children will pick up again in March.
