ABN AMRO has won the 'Best Private Bank for Wealthy Women' award in the category 'Best Private Bank in The Netherlands'. The award was presented on Thursday 11 November 2023 at the Global Private Banking Awards in London. The Global Private Banking Awards are an initiative of PWM, part of the Financial Times Group.

“Women entrepreneurs face different specific needs and barriers during each phase of growing a business. The biggest challenge we faced was discovering these underlying barriers. By changing our tone of voice and offering solutions like a women entrepreneur community, we are addressing these barriers and increasing long-term engagement,” says Choy van der Hooft-Cheong, chief commercial officer, wealth management at ABN AMRO.

In 2022, the bank conducted research into the importance of inclusivity in financial services. It showed that 67 percent of women globally feel that their financial advisor does not understand or want to serve them.

According to Chantal Korteweg, Director Inclusive Banking, this award is an achievement for the bank being able to distinguish itself in this area. "We have reached our audience in an appealing way and have achieved results, with something that stands out and is innovative."
