ABN AMRO and Rotterdam Ahoy renew WTT partnership

ABN AMRO and Rotterdam Ahoy today renewed their sponsorship contract for the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament for a further two years. As a result, ABN AMRO will continue to be involved with the tournament as its main sponsor in 2018-2019, as it has since the event first began in 1974, making ABN AMRO and Rotterdam Ahoy the longest-running sponsor partnership within the ATP World Tour.
This year, Rotterdam Ahoy will be organising the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament for the 44th time. The event will take place between 13 and 19 February this year. Over the years, the event has grown into one of the most popular men’s tennis tournaments in the world. It has acquired ATP 500 status, making it one of the world’s 25 leading tennis tournaments. This year, five of the top ten players will be taking part, including Rafael Nadal and Stanislas Wawrinka.

The ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, which is held at the same time, is also being continued up to and including 2019. Under tournament director Esther Vergeer, the World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament has grown into an established tradition in recent years, with the world’s leading wheelchair players coming to Rotterdam Ahoy to compete.
