ABN AMRO is committed to advancing equal opportunities for all

Equal opportunities

ABN AMRO is committed to advancing equal opportunities for all. Because we believe that everyone, regardless of their background, beliefs or preferences, is entitled to it. We leverage our expertise to help tackle social problems. We do that through our services, who we are as an employer, our sponsorship portfolio, ABN AMRO Foundation, and more, reflecting our commitment to existing and future clients, colleagues and job seekers.

Inclusive banking

Not everyone has an equal opportunity when it comes to obtaining financial products and services. Some groups of people and individuals still feel systematically underserved. ABN AMRO’s Inclusive Banking team is taking stock of the various barriers certain client groups – such as female entrepreneurs – face; and also how these barriers can be overcome through smart solutions.

Sponsoring accelerates equal opportunities

In the world of equal opportunities, we have to take steps. That is why we want to accelerate equal opportunities for everyone by sponsoring ambitious people, clubs and organisations. Financially, but also through coaching and the deployment of our network. This way, we help them move forward in sports, art & culture and society. Now, and for generations to come.

Foundation: different start, equal opportunity

To help young people help achieve their goals and dreams, ABN AMRO Foundation has already been committed to equal opportunities for 20 years. Because participation in society is still not self-evident for everyone. Many children grow up in a situation with fewer opportunities, lack of money or a small social network. Simply because their cradle was in the wrong place. This puts children at a disadvantage, one that in most cases will last the rest of their lives. A lot of talent is lost.

ABN AMRO is a company where you can be yourself

To ensure that everyone feels they are seen, heard and valued, we have created a culture of belonging at ABN AMRO. That’s why we are doubling down on our efforts to create equal opportunities for women, the LGBTI+-community, people with disabilities, people from different cultural backgrounds, refugees with residence permits, and vulnerable generations, such as seniors.

Financial resilience and entrepreneurship

We’re a bank with a social mission, and we’re committed to creating equal opportunities because we see that not everyone manages to keep up in society — far from it. Colleagues at ABN AMRO are working in various ways to create opportunities for people for whom those opportunities can’t be taken for granted. Among the ways they are doing this is through Social Point.
