As a major bank in the Netherlands, ABN AMRO has strong ties to society – and that carries a great responsibility. By working together with schools and with voluntary help from our employees, ABN AMRO Foundation supports underprivileged children in the Netherlands. In this way, we are giving back to society and building a brighter future.

As a former top athlete, I know first-hand that being encouraged to discover your talent is so important to development. Figuring out where your strengths lie - whether in sport, art or anything else - gives you self-confidence you can build on for the rest of your life.

Visiting a museum with children, teaming up for a sports event, or reading together. Not only do these things make for happy children, they are also an enriching experience for ABN AMRO volunteers. I’m thrilled that I can contribute to this.

The dedicated team at ABN AMRO Foundation give others their full attention, commitment and love – by helping to remove barriers and opening doors for every child. It’s important that we do so because ‘it takes a village to raise a child’!

Trust, surprise and amaze children. Elements that are reflected in our activities and that contribute to equal opportunities. I am proud to contribute to our Foundation as a volunteer and board member.

Every child deserves to be amazed and to chase their dreams by exploring places they wouldn't normally go to, and doing things they would never imagined. Together with many passionate colleagues, we strive to make a difference. That fills me with pride!

I love seeing thousands of ABN AMRO employees making a difference by taking part in the foundation’s activities every year. It’s so important for children to find out what they’re good at. With the help of our volunteers, we’re broadening these youngsters’ horizons, and that’s very rewarding work.
