Over the past year, the JP Morgan Institute, Prometis Lab (BNP Paribas Fortis) and BBVA Research have started conversations on creating a Global Research Network for researchers using Big Data Financial Transactions. This network would be dedicated to coordinating and amplifying research efforts across private institutions (JPMorgan,BNP Paribas Fortis and BBVA).

Álvaro Ortiz is the Head of Analysis with Big Data at BBVA Research. He manages the unit implementing the Big Data analysis for Economic, Social and Geopolitical Issues.
Milan van den Heuvel is the CEO and Research Director at Prometis Lab, a non-profit research institute that aims to enables more informed decisions by all levels of society, companies, and government by researching socioeconomic challenges leveraging anonymised financial data from BNP Paribas Fortis.
