ABN AMRO convenes EGM about employee participation scheme merger Bethmann Bank
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. today published the convocation and relevant documents for the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders (EGM) to be held virtually on Thursday 29 September 2022.
Shareholders will be asked to decide that ABN AMRO will not need to negotiate with employee representatives regarding the employee participation scheme that will apply after the merger between Bethmann Bank and ABN AMRO. The current employee participation scheme will remain in place. The merger itself will not be voted on. The between Bethmann Bank and ABN AMRO was announced on 29 June 2022 with a view to simplifying the organisational structure, enabling the bank to invest in further growth. The merger will not have any consequences for clients and employees; the brand name Bethmann Bank will continue to exist.
The Extraordinary General Meeting will start at 10.30 am CET (09:30 am GMT)and will be broadcast live via a webcast. Shareholders will be able to submit questions in advance or ask questions during the meeting.
