George Ryan-Smith joins ABN AMRO as Associate Director, Corporate Lending UK

George started his career at Barclays and stayed there for over 7 years. After completing his graduate rotations in the Credit Analysis and Payments functions, he spent 3 years in the International Corporates Coverage division, focussing on clients with a strong presence in Northern Europe. He then spent a further 3 years working within Barclays' Global Lending Group, structuring debt quantum of £25m and above, across various event driven transactions and sectors.

His most recent role was within finnCap Group's Debt Advisory team, covering mid-market transactions across Public, Private and Private Equity markets, sector agnostic.

In his new role he will be part of the Corporate Lending team which is responsible for the origination, structuring, execution and portfolio management of various Lending products for mid and large cap clients, both domestically and internationally. This team seeks to provide clients with the optimal capital structure to support their growth strategy while at the same time observing ABN AMRO's risk framework. As a part of Client Service Teams, Corporate Lending supports Coverage Bankers with queries and commercial propositions.
