ABN AMRO Ventures increases its investment in British data-analytics software firm Quantexa. The bank is one of the participants in the series D capital round with which the tech firm raises a total of $153 million from international top investors led by the renowned growth equity house Warburg Pincus. In addition to being a shareholder, ABN AMRO is also a strategic customer by using Quantexa’s software to combat money laundering risks.

Quantexa is a global data and analytics software company pioneering in Contextual Decision Intelligence (CDI) technology. Using the latest advancements in big data and AI, Quantexa’s platform reveals hidden risks and new opportunities by providing a contextual, connected view of internal and external data in one place.

Hugo Bongers, director of ABN AMRO Ventures: “We invest in Quantexa because we believe in this company and it fits perfectly with the goal of ABN AMRO Ventures: we accelerate the digitization of the bank and we achieve financial returns with the fund. In addition, we are strengthening our position within the ecosystem of top international investors in this sector. We expect Quantexa to grow even faster thanks to this investment round.”

ABN AMRO Ventures is ABN AMRO’s corporate venture fund that invests in (fin)techs. It focuses on innovative companies that specialize in the digitization of financial products, services and infrastructure. With EUR 150 million of assets under management the fund has stakes in Upvest, solarisBank, Penta, Bux, PrimaryBid, and Privitar. Previous investments were in Tink (exit 2021) and OpenInvest (exit 2021).
